Manifesting, intentions, Law of Attraction and spell casting?!

Manifesting and spell casting – isn’t that a stretch, well…

Frankly, there is nothing mystical or metaphysical about this statement. Your conscious mind is the “Goal Setter” and your creative conscious is the “Goal Getter.”


Manifesting is exactly what your brain does without any help from you

Not sure how this works? Well, let’s start with your Creative Conscious. Some people call this their “sub-” or “un-” conscious mind. I prefer the Creative Consciousness for a couple of reasons. First, there is nothing unconscious about it; it is collecting thousands of bits of information every second and recording it — from the temperature of the air on your skin to the feel of the waistband on your underwear (bet you are aware of the underwear now if you weren’t before). Second, it will work to create what you think or say; it will find a way to make things happen.


“All men are pigs…” Got it, you’ll find that to be true. Now, you’ll only see the dark side of every man you encounter.

“Just looking at cake makes me gain 2 pounds…” Perfect, you’ll hold on to weight like your life depends on it. Because your metabolism is dictated by your energy levels – conscious or otherwise.

And my all time favorite from a few years ago.

“FML…” (fuck my life) AWESOME! Now, let’s see how many ways you can find to self sabotage, create chaos and welcome the shit flinging monkey from your brain into your life. Oh, you know the one – he’s the reason you can’t have nice things. And he’s the reason you don’t get the things you deserve, he’s behind every bit of bullshit that comes from having damaged self worth and self esteem. Because he’s the self critical internal voice that tells you why you can’t be, do or have what you want in your life.


Manifesting better control of those awesome, “magical” powers you wield (your thoughts)

So if this is the case, why can’t someone just say, “I am not going to (smoke, drink, overeat, get into another bad relationship, etc.) again” and be done with it? If you’ve read or watched “The Secret,” you understand the Universe doesn’t recognize negatives (not, don’t, won’t, can’t, etc.) The same goes for your Creative Conscious mind.


Here’s an example of how this works:

Take a moment and clear your thoughts. Then do your best, try your hardest to, at all cost, not think of a tart yellow lemon. Try not to smell the peel. Now, try not to taste the citric acid as it makes your mouth pucker. Oh, and above all else, try not to let your mouth water in response…


You very likely had an experience of at least one if not all of the thoughts, smells, memories, visual representations, and tastes of a lemon or did your mouth just water? You see, you have to CREATE to NEGATE. Which is exactly why you have to be so careful with your choice of words. You need to focus on what you want, avoiding what you don’t want. And this can be tricky, especially if you’ve become addicted to negative thoughts or emotions. 


Manifesting is about using powerful, positive, present tense language of ownership and the thoughts that drive them

Unfortunately, our histories often color the value of our thoughts and we apply meanings that no longer serve us. We become great at knowing what we don’t want, but do we really know what we do want? That can be a difficult task to work through. Sometimes you can reverse engineer the outcome. Sometimes you have to get an objective opinion. And sometimes you have to do the difficult work of healing a past that you’ve tried to avoid. Ultimately, it’s your choice to change your thoughts, beliefs and behaviors – in order to change your life.


So how do you change? Because you can simply change your thoughts. I know it sounds like I’m talking in circles, I am. Essentially, your thoughts create your beliefs, your beliefs create your behaviors and your behaviors create the world around you. And if you’re not happy with the world around you, you have to go back to your thoughts…


But how to change… well, there are many ways to do this; you can use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Hypnosis, Reiki or Conscious Effort — just to name a few. I know I’m saying it’s simple. You’ll notice I’m not saying it’s easy. Well, it’s easy for me – but I teach this behavior change and thought management thing all day long. Now, let me give you a tool to start with – change now and it only takes two little words. Then, try being conscious of what you are thinking and see where it takes you. You’ll find these two words will shut down the shit flinging monkey in very short order. They give your creative consciousness something to ponder; the idea that this will not always be the truth – and it may not even be the truth at this very moment.

    How do you protect yourself from someone else’s negative thought about you?

      Great question Sandy, thanks for asking. Ultimately it’s important to allow others to have their own experiences. Which means you can’t control their thoughts, beliefs or behaviors. So, I love that you’re asking how you can take care of you vs. how you can stop them.

      If you can simply let it go with love, that’s the most powerful protection you could ever use.

      That said, sometimes even I have trouble with either the letting go or the “with love” part. Then I use a mirror exercise, place a mirror energetically into my space to deflect anything that is not for my highest intention or purpose. Hope this helps.
