Would you follow the guidance of Angels?
I have. I’ve prayed with them. Prayed to them for intervention. And I’ve argued with them. Yeah, that’s me. Given Divine guidance and then gone – “Hold it… not so fast, that’s not gonna happen!” You see, my life takes many unexpected turns. I have plans. I’ve worked hard at moving in my own direction. I want things my way. That’s when God says – Pffft, as if! (I swear I’ve heard him.) And that’s when it all comes down to control and free will.
They won’t control me and I like to exert my free will! Does it mean it all works out to my liking… not exactly.
My Angels bring chaos with them…
It’s true. I acknowledge their inspiration, guidance and protection. I’m always in communication with them and open to their guidance. But I don’t always listen. Queue the ensuing chaos.
If you understand the purpose Angels serve it makes sense. Based on multiple religious texts from various faiths; including Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist – Angels were created by God (the term I’m comfortable with being a Catholic school graduate). While none of the holy texts tell us specifically when Angels were created, they do tell us how and why they were created.
Angels were created by God (Colossians 1:15-17). They have intelligence (2 Corinthians 11:3), emotion (Revelation 12:17), and will (Jude 6). They are meant to praise God (Luke 2:13), serve God (Revelation 22:9), and work for His kingdom (Acts 8:26). When they need a physical representation, they often appear human (Daniel 8:15), although not always (Ezekiel 1:5-11). And they know the Scriptures (James 2:19; Revelation 12:12).
What’s in an Angel’s “job description”?
Angels are ministering spirits who exist to serve mankind: “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). Matthew 18:10 also teaches, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” One of the angels’ purposes is to minister to humans. And they seem to have been around since “creation”.
You see, Angels are dedicated to serving our needs in a manner that allows us to experience Divine grace, guidance and love exactly as they do. While we have a choice, they were created for the purpose of. So, it makes sense that when I fail to listen to the guidance given, I tend to “narf things up” all on my own.
So, perhaps you are on the fence about this “Angel” thing. Well, I was too. Once.
I was raised in a Catholic household, graduated from parochial school and was married in the Catholic Church. Catholics have a very rich tradition of venerating Angels. We. Love. Them. We light candles to them. Have specific prayers for them. And fill our homes, cars and offices with artwork and icons that represent the Angels we want intercession from. While I was comfortable with this, I never really had a direct connection to any of them. They were “sky faires” as far as I was concerned. A fabulous and fitting metaphor for the “good” that mankind can tap into through deed, thought and prayer. Yep, sky fairies.
And then… their real and tangible presence became a part of my life. It happened after I began meditating on a more consistent basis. Flits of light or sparkles in the corner of my eyes. Smells of flowers where there are none. A hand on my shoulder when completely alone. So, was I bat shit crazy? Did I have organic brain disease? Or was this Divine connection? I know, tough call. So, I went on faith – Divine connection. I asked my Angels to make themselves known to me. And boy did they!
An Angel in my office
I’d been working with a client for pain management of RSD for a few weeks. She was doing well with hypnosis and we were finishing her session. I looked up from my chart notes to bring her out of her hypnotic state and that’s when I saw Archangel Raphael – in my office. Standing behind her in the space where a wall should be. Angel, yes. Wall, no. He appeared agitated, he had his arms crossed and was talking very rapidly (I could see his mouth moving) but no sound was audible.
I sat completely immobilized. Until the client – we’ll call her Karen for the sake of this story – sat bolt upright and asked why I wasn’t answering him. And now her session goes from odd to just out right unexplainable. Karen did all this this while still completely in a hypnotic state. Her eyes were closed. She was not oriented to the room in any way shape or form. She was in what is termed a deep trance state. Basically, she was out.
So, this happened…
Then she turned around and turned her face up to where the Angel was standing and began a conversation with him. I could see him, but couldn’t hear him. I could see her (with her eyes closed the entire time) turning back and forth from him to me in order to translate the conversation for me.
Karen to Angel: Yes. You’re right. Mmm hmm. Of course. I’ll tell her.
Karen to me: It’s Archangel Raphael. He’s frustrated that you’re not doing the work that you’re supposed to be doing. You’re not doing the healing work that you’re here to do. He’s been waiting for you to ask him to step in to help. That’s his job. To help you with your healing work. He sees you struggling, has been trying to communicate with you, and you won’t give permission for either.
Me out loud: Um…
Me in my mind: Should I be documenting this in her chart? And then how would I document it? “Divine eternal being presents for consult…”
Me to Karen: Okay… I can do that.
Karen to Angel: Oh I know!
Karen to me: He wants you to know you are loved very, very much. And you are never alone! You have work to do and that work includes Divine intercession. You won’t have to do it alone.
Karen to Angel: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Me in my head: Hooooly shiiiit…
Even I had trouble believing
And then he was gone. I sat in near disbelief for several minutes before bringing Karen out of her hypnotic state. I counted her up, brought her to full consciousness and asked her how she was feeling. She reported that her pain was completely gone and that she felt fantastic. I made my notes (leaving the Angel communication out completely). Then I turned to schedule Karen’s next appointment. While my back was to her, she said she had a question. I turned back and smiled. And then she asked, did I dream there was an Angel in the room with us?
Where it led
And that’s how I started sharing my spiritual and energetic experiences with my behavioral clients. Because, I had to. It was part of my path and part of my work. And that’s where the magic began. That’s where I made the connection that even behavioral care was energy healing. It really is all energy and intention when you look at it.
Are you ready to meet your Angels?
Your angels have messages for you and are ready to assist you in any way which best serves your connection to Divine grace and love. As I mentioned before, we have a choice, we have free will. Your angels will never intercede without your permission, or without you asking. Just know that they are there — waiting, willing, eager and excited at the prospect of being able to assist you in living the life you desire, the life you deserve.
Spend some time in meditation, and ask your angels to present to you. Ask them to intercede for you. You will be amazed at how much they can and are willing to help. And if you’d like assistance in connecting with your angels, please contact me for a reading.
